and so i grabbed my surfboard and hit the road
only to find
the further away you are from me
the closer i feel you.
ridiculously so, because the early mornings
lying next to you
is a sublime monotony of bliss
it's the times alone thru the day
when the hours are long and the sun burns
a road map of freckles and future melanoma's
on the arm i casually hang out my window
as i drive on searching for treasure,
ridiculously so, when i already have found
whatever it is
i keep thinking i'm looking for.
it's a shame that i ever take for granted
your eyes
(or your smile)
(or your soft sweet voice)
and so i grabbed my surfboard and hit the road
only to find
the further away you are from me
the closer i feel you.

yeah. what's the deal with that?
love it-
I like this. It paints a nice picture while still remaining fluid enough to read easily.
This is the best one you've published. I love the image that it paints.
Come see us this weekend. Screw thunderstorms. We can camp in my house, play stupid games. It'll be fun.
